Decovil
Heavyweight, dimensionally stable and resilient fusible interlining with a leather-like feel. Also tear-resistant, easy to shape, non-creasing and punchable. Cut edges remain firm.
Price for DecovilDecovil® I is the heavyweight version of the Decovil range.
At 400 g/m² it gives suitable fabrics strong, resilient, shape-holding support while remaining a sewable textile stabilizer.
It has a distinctive leather-like feel, resists tearing and permanent creasing, doesn't fray, keeps firm cut edges, and can be shaped and punched. It creates substantially more firmness than fusible fleece or Decovil® I Light.
You need a base, flap, panel or accessory component to feel genuinely firm and hold a strong, professional silhouette.
“I need the base, flap or panel to feel very firm and hold a strong shape.”

Choose something else if…
Decovil® I is usually used selectively, not everywhere. Many patterns remove heavyweight stabilizer from seam allowances to control bulk — follow the pattern, and check your machine, needle and foot can manage the full layer stack before final assembly.
Choose Decovil® I for heavyweight, leather-like support in bases, flaps and firm sculptural components.
